{Jessica & Geoff Engagement} Waterloo Park

It’s awesome to meet new clients through my existing ones who have passed along the good word about Machado Photography!!! Thank you Erin & Allen for referring me to Jessica & Geoff.

We connected right away and  had a great consultation! Jessica & Jeff  are getting married August 18th of this year, that’s just right around the corner. We had an amazing engagement shoot, at Waterloo Park. I really adore them as a couple! They are so well matched for each other and the chemistry they have is wonderful. We had the perfect overcast day at Waterloo Park and the weather was beautiful for the shoot.

Las Vegas & Grand Canyon

Las Vegas was an amazing trip! It’s all very overwhelming at first because of the lights and all the people. I like comparing Vegas to an anthill. When you step on the anthill and all the ants go all over the place; that’s Vegas in a nutshell. I’m just kidding! There is so much more to Vegas then that, but that really is how busy it feels. If you have never been, I would say you would have to go at least once!

The hotels are beautiful!!! The thinking and detail that went into each of them is phenomenal. I definitely had a few favourites by the end of my 4 day trip; the Venetian, the Wynn, and Caeser’s Palace among them. All of them had a really nice romantic feel to them that I personally enjoy. A lot of things in Las Vegas can be very expensive but if you do some searching you can make you way around without spending a fortune. When it comes to entertainment however I would say there are some amazing shows to be seen that are worth the hundred dollar ticket, so don’t cheap out!

One of the top 10 places to see before you die is the Grand Canyon and it’s only a few hours away, so why not make that stop too? Trust me you won’t regret it!
Pink Jeep Tours does an amazing job of taking you on those bumpy excursions that would be really tough to do on foot in the hot desert heat or even by car. When you get there and you get out of the jeep and your eyes will be amazed. The silence will surprise you especially after the crowds and sounds of Vegas. The Canyon is a vast desert with plenty of rocks, yuccas, and Joshua Trees, not to forget all the desert creatures. It’s not uncommon to bump into the occasional rattlesnake but I’m happy to report that I was fortunate enough not to cross paths with one. Having lunch at the top of Grand Canyon is an experience I will never forget. It was educational and visually stimulating.
